Maintenance and Logistics Support Project for Power Generation Turbines
Maintenance and Logistics Support Project for Power Generation Turbines
A "Cooperation Protocol on Fund Allocation to the Defense Industry Support Fund" was signed and entered into force on March 15, 2024, between the Presidency of Defense Industries and our Institution. This protocol aims to ensure that the maintenance of gas/steam turbines located at our natural gas-fired power generation plants, as well as the procurement of spare parts used in these maintenance operations, are carried out using local and national resources.
As a continuation of this protocol, which sets the stage for various industries to benefit from the defense industry ecosystem, the “Maintenance and Logistics Support Project for Power Generation Turbines” contract was signed on the first day of SAHA EXPO 2024.
Under this contract, TEI (TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc.) will be responsible for the corrective maintenance, periodic overhauls, modifications, and supply of parts for the gas and steam turbines in the inventory of EÜAŞ (Electricity Generation Company of Turkey).
Project Objectives:
• To eliminate supply chain bottlenecks frequently encountered both domestically and globally during the procurement of spare parts and maintenance services,
• To transfer high-tech manufacturing know-how to Türkiye,
• To reduce dependency on imports in the field of energy generation technologies.
