TEKIRDAG NATURAL GAS COMBINED CYCLE B POWER PLANT

Trakya Marmara Ereğlisi Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant consists of 2 gas turbines (2 pcs. Siemens V94.2 gas turbine with silo type combustion chamber.), 2 gas turbine generators, 2 boilers (2 pcs. Nooter Ericson Waste Heat Boiler with 550 tons/hour capacity.), 1 condenser (Cooling system is a single pass from sea water, 22000 tons/hour flow condenser.), 1 steam turbine (1 piece of Siemens KN Series high, medium, low pressure steam turbine.) and a combined cycle block containing 1 steam turbine generator. There are 2 systems to produce pure water from sea water with a capacity of approximately 1000 tons/day. Natural gas is taken from the neighboring Botaş LNG facility at 70 bar pressure. And the electricity system is connected to the 154 kV distribution network at Botaş, Tegesan, Çerkezköy and Silivri points.
Fuel consumption at 100% load for the 1st Block gas turbine in the power plant is 43.000 Sm³/hour and the total fuel consumption of the two gas turbines is 86,000 Sm³/hour. The net thermal efficiency is around 50% at a heat consumption of 1870 kcal/kWh for 2 GT+1 BT at 100% load, with a lower fuel calorific value of 8650 kcal/Sm³.
