OBRUK HEPP
The Obruk Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was built on the Kızılırmak River, 16 km from the Dodurga district of Çorum and 2 km from the Obruk Village. It has a total installed power of 210.8 MW with its 4 generators, each of which is 52.7 MW, and its annual generation capacity is foreseen as 473 million kWh.
In the Obruk Dam and HEPP project, the construction of which was started on February 29, 1996 in the Kızılırmak Basin, the water retention process was carried out on October 19, 2007, and it was commissioned in 2009. The body volume of the dam, which was built in the clay core semi-permeable fill type, is 12.83 hm³, the crest length is 504.35 m, and the body height is 67 m. The lake volume at the maximum water level is 661 hm³ and the lake area is 50.21 km². There are 4 spillway covers in the dam and its discharge capacity is 5000 m³/sec.
