DİCLE HEPP

Dicle Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was built within the borders of Diyarbakır province, 50 km from Diyarbakır, 800 m from the location where Maden and Dibni Streams merge to form the Tigris River, and 22 km downstream of the Kralkızı Dam axis. It has a total installed power of 110 MW with 2 generators of 55 MW each, and its annual generation capacity is estimated as 298 million kWh.

Project studies for the Dicle Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in the Dicle Basin, started in 1986. In the project, which started to be impounded on October 25, 1997, the construction was completed on December 30, 1997 and production started in 2000.

The body volume of the dam, which was built in the rock body fill type, is 3.120.000 m³, the body height is 75 m, and the crest length is 307 m. At the maximum water level, the lake volume is 595 hm³ and the lake area is 24.00 km².
