ÇAYIRHAN THERMAL POWER PLANT
Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant, located in Çayırhan District of Nallıhan district of Ankara, was put into operation between 1987-1999.
The Contract time for the Operating Rights of Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant, which has been operated for 20 years as of 01.07.2000 within the scope of the Law No. 3096, has expired as of 30.06.2020 at 24:00. The actual return of Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant took place as of 01.07.2020 and it started to produce again on behalf of our Organization.
Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant has a total installed power of 620 MWh, including the 1st and 2nd units (2x150 MWh), the 3rd and 4th units (2x160 MWh). The main fuel of the power plant is lignite with a caloric value of 2000-2400 kcal/kg obtained from Çayırhan Underground Coal Operation. The design annual production capacity of the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant is 4.030.000.000 kWh.
