BATMAN HEPP

Batman Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was built on Batman Stream, 70 km from Batman. The power plant has an annual capacity of generating 483 million kWh of electrical energy with an installed power of 198,475 MW (3x64,175 MW+1x5.95 MW).

The construction of Batman Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in the Tigris Basin, started in 1986 and production started in 2003.

The body volume of the dam, which was built in the clay core zoned earth fill type, is 7.18 hm³, the body height is 85 m and the crest length is 530 m. At the maximum operating level, the lake volume is 1.244 hm³ and the lake area is 49.25 km².
