ASLANTAŞ HEPP
Aslantaş Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was established on the Ceyhan River, 30 km from Osmaniye city center and Kadirli district center. It has a total installed capacity of 138 MW with 3 generators, each of which is 46 MW. Annual production capacity is foreseen as 569 million KWh.
The construction of the Aslantaş Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in the Ceyhan Basin, started in 1976 and was put into service after its construction was completed in 1984.
The body volume of the dam, which was built in earth body fill type, is 8,493,000 m³, crest length is 585 m, and body height is 95 m. The maximum water level of the dam is 155 and the storage at this elevation.
Its capacity is 1,799 hm³ and its lake area is 63 km². The voltage of the electrical energy produced in the power plant is increased to 154 kV and given to the national electricity grid.
