AKKÖPRÜ HEPP

Akköprü Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was built on the Dalaman Stream, 24 km east of the Köyceğiz district of Muğla. It has a total installed power of 115 MW with 2 generators, each of which is 57.5 MW, and its annual generation capacity is estimated as 343 million kWh.

The construction of Akköprü Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant was started by DSI in 1995, and its construction was completed in March 2011 and electricity production started in February 2012 after the dam resorvoir operation. The body volume of the dam, which was built in clay core rock fill type, is 13.250.000 m³, the body height is 112.5 m, the lake volume at the maximum water level is 393 hm³ and the lake area is 9.6 km².The energy produced in the power plant is transferred to Dalaman and Fethiye regions with a 154 kV energy transmission line, and from there it is connected to the interconnected system.
