A Scientific and Technological Cooperation Protocol was signed between EÜAŞ and Istanbul Technical University (ITU). EÜAŞ hosted the ceremony attended by EÜAŞ General Manager Zafer Benli and the Rector of ITU Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.
Aimed at collaboration between the public sector and academia, the protocol will establish the technical infrastructure for Turkey’s Energy Efficiency 2030 Strategy and the 2nd National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for EÜAŞ.
As part of the agreement, ITU's National Software Certification Center will provide services regarding EÜAŞ’s digital assets and data security.
The protocol also covers R&D projects and improvements in operational activities in areas such as: digital twin technology, artificial intelligence applications, digitalization of business processes and systems, sensor systems, advanced materials and energy conversion technologies, data and information security, forecasting and decision support systems, Internet of Things (IoT).
The partnership will also facilitate project approval processes, financing methods, shared infrastructure usage, and collaborations in operational, scientific, and academic fields. It will include in-service training, internships, academic consultancy, the involvement of postgraduate students in research and activities, as well as meeting security, logistics, and operational needs for joint activities.
