ESENYURT NATURAL GAS COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT

It is located within the borders of Esenyurt Municipality, 30 km west of the city center of Istanbul, on an area of 22.000 m². It is very close to TEM highway, Istanbul Atatürk Airport and Edirne-Istanbul railway.

Doğa Energy Production Industry and Trade Joint Stock Company is a special purpose company established in accordance with the Law No. 3096 to develop this project. The company was established in 1993 as a Turkish Partnership, and Mission Energy Limited Company joined Doğa in 1995. 

The total nominal installed power of the power plant (3+1 configuration), which consists of 3 Gas Turbines and 1 Steam Turbine, is 180 MWh, and the output power can increase up to 200 MWh in winter and decrease up to 140 MWh in summer, depending on climatic conditions. The power plant, which has an annual average production capacity of 1.4 Billion kWh, started commercial production in April 1999 and its agreement would expire in 2019.

The power plant has been transferred to our organization as of 23 May 2019 and works under the Istanbul Natural Gas Power Plants Operations Directorate.
